Maple Baseball Bat

August 2014

This is a maple baseball bat I turned for my friend's birthday. It is a regulation size (32", 29 oz.), fully functional bat. It took about three hours.

Walnut and Aluminum Headphone Stand

November 2015

I recently got a new pair of headphones and wanted to make a stand to go along with it and keep my desk organized. It's made of walnut wood, aluminum metal, and holds up to 3 over the ear headphones. It is about 13"-14" tall.

Walnut and Maple Coaster

February 2015

I picked up some scrap pieces of maple from one of my student's projects (I'm a teacher's assistant) and decided to glue them to a small piece of walnut that I had lying around.

This is a Japanese style square plate that I made out of poplar wood. It was very fun (and a little scary) to make since it's exactly round.

This is a chichipate gavel with a wood handle. It's a little out of proportion, but it makes it interesting! I made this mostly at home.

May 2015

A cutting board that mimic the design of a woven basket. Entirely functional.

Bulbish Sapele Bowl

June 2015

This was a birthday present for one of my close friends. One of my favorite things about this bowl was the "bulbish" shape. I also was really happy with the way the wood finished.

Pen Turning

Summer 2015

Homemade wood and acrylic pens. Completely functional. Each one takes about an hour to prep, turn, and join.

July 2014

This is an exotic wood bowl that I was very fond of. I love the intriguing pattern in the wood and the dark streaks in the grain.

April 2014

This is a small bowl I made for my grandmother. It was one of the first bowls I made and the first one I finished on the lathe. It has a nice golden brown texture to it and shines in the light.

July 2014

Layered bowl sandwiching a piece of plywood. It took about an hour and a half. It was the first bowl I finished on my lathe at home.

This is easily one of my most well-done and complex projects. It's a segmented bowl with an end-grain design. It measures 12" in diameter and I documented the entire process thoroughly.

Walnut and Maple Speakers

October 2015

Made from scratch speakers with bluetooth, auxilary input, multiple outputs (for hooking up extra speakers), ambient lighting, and tweeter. I designed, soldered, cut, etc. the circuit and the wooden housing.

August 2014

This is a Mora wood bowl with a mesmerizing  grain patter on the side of it. I also shaped it to be a little bit more "dog-bowl" ish. I think it turned out nice!

This bowl was created almost entirely at my rather limited home-shop. Some of the joints are a little off because I do not have a good drum sander. The overall product turned out great.

This is the first exotic wood bowl and one of the first I made in less than an hour. I was really proud of the sanding and the finish. It "glows" in the sun!
