I really liked this camera angle. It imitates an angle that my favorite woodworking YouTuber uses, Frank Howarth.

I experimented with putting the gavel on grass when photographing. I like the contrast between "wild" nature and shaped nature.

The head is made of chichipate wood while the handle is made of sapele.

I was in need of a mallet, but my friends thought it'd be cool to make a gavel. The head I made for the mallet was very large compared to the head of a gavel, but it has a cool effect.

Although the head and handle are very unproportional, it adds a unique effect and is very effective for tapping things into place.

I still need to make a base for the gavel, but the actual hammer part is complete.
