Trays for Recycled Paper
These are some trays that I made for my school to try and cut down on paper waste. They are intended to hold scrap paper to encourage people to cut down on the amount of printer paper they use. I had a lot of fun making these! It was also one of the first times I mass produced a single design..It was really enjoyable.
They're designed to hold recycled paper and cut down on paper waste.
This project was a lot of fun because it was the first time I got to seriously use the router. It was really pleasing rounding the edges.
I've never really worked with plywood before, but I must admit it does look quite good with finish on.
This was my prototype to make sure my dimensions were all correct.
I used the large table saw to cut down a huge piece of plywood into manageable pieces. I used a makeshift piece of wood clamped to the fence to make repeated cuts quickly.
As you can see, I'm making a lot of repeated cuts. It was fun mass producing.
After closer inspection, I realized my widths were off. This was probably due to the large table saw being slightly off.
I trimmed them to the correct with width using the smaller table saw.
